-16- We took the boat to Erfjord and arrived there at twelve o'clock the next day. And went up a hill to the house of a friend, and had a meeting there. Left there the next day on the boat for Stavanger. Had some rest and then went to Idso, an Island twenty-five miles from Stavanger. We had a meeting there, which was a poor one. There was only one friend living there. The next morning we parted to go in a sailboat to Nag, three miles. It was a stormy day, the sea being rough and the wind high, it looked as if we would be lost. Elisha laughed and was not afraid. The people were surprised that we dared to have crossed. We were all thankful when we landed safely on the shore. We had a very favored meeting that fore-noon at a friend's house. Many came to it and expressed their gratitude for our being there. That afternoon we took tea at Kitti Fugli's. She was a fine young woman. Her monther, ninty-one years old, was a member of friends. I will have occasion to mention her later in regard to Ida having a dream of seeing her a corpse, while Ida was sick in
