-22- The next day people came from different directions to the meeting. We had a full meeting; and the power of the Gospel was sounded forth that day: to the breaking of the stony hearts of men. I don't remember of attending a meeting that was more powerful, in all my life than that was. That evening we had another meeting there; which was equal to the one in the fore-noon. The Friends told me that Ida Chamness spoke on the spirit of prophesy; as to that which would be in the last days: that God had promised to pour forth His Spirit upon all flesh. He says, 'upon my Servants and upon my handmaidens I will pour out of my Spirit, and they shall prophisy in my name sayeth God.' And she went on to a great length with power. I spoke quite a while. Ida told me before meeting, 'that was my meeting.' And it often proved so when we felt that way and told each other. We received many handshakes; and eyes were wet with tears. The eternal power of God was over all; and many testimonies were borne to the everlasting truth. The fiftheenth of eighth month. We now returned to Stavanger, our headquarters.
