-43- the leader of our company. We are now in another town in Europe, among the Welsh people. They look differently to the English people. They are tall, hardy and robust. This evening we went about twenty-five miles, to Crosskeys, and had a street meeting in this town. It was a very large gathering; and the Gospel life flowed freely, I thought, above any meeting we had been in any time before. It was a time of unusual openings of the springs of the Gospel life. And there were hundreds of people there. Mothers stood with babies in their arms in that large crowd, near two hours; while the tears fell from their eyes as they heard the message proclaimed aloud, that touched their hearts. This made me think of the street meetings in London, held by George Fox, Francis Howgil, Edward Burrough, William Pen and other people, in the rise of the Society. At Coberg Hotel the 19th. We took the cars to Bryn-maur. We are still amongst the Welsh people. We had a meeting at six o'clock in a Chapel. The Gospel streams were largely opened: and Ida was wonderfully led in great power and clearness to set forth the truths of the Gospel. It was a good meeting; and was so expressed by many. This evening at eight o'clock we had a meeting on the street. I suppose this was the largest meeting we had had at any time in Europe; all classes of people were
