-62- favors, and richest blessings heaven could bestow upon me; to be thus helped along in the mission of the gospel ministry. Please remember me in love to all of thy family, Thy friend and brother, Joel Johnson. We read in the scriptures of truth that kindred spirits travel together as one. And it is so: there being no separation between them; when they are clothed in the beautiful, golden garments of God's undieing love. This is a foretaste of that love which springs from the endless fountain of God's throne in the heavens above; where we will be happy with all the pure in heart; and the redeemed of the Lord, who, have gone on before, and left a seal testimony to the everlasting truth, to those who are left behind. My spirit is refreshed with these things. I see the beautiful sunshine of God's love through the darkness; and the clouds and the judgements that are testing the nations of the earth to-day; for their many sins and transgressions. Like Hoag said, I often tell people that God's judgements are in the earth to-day. I feel it to be true. I see that self and the love of money and worldliness, are all classed together. Joel Johnson. But, sad it is to state that after all of these favors; the Lord having been so abundantly with us in these labors; they at Woodland still held out
