Begining with page 1 thru page 99 are Joel Johnson's ^ and son's and Ida R. Chmness' letters and accounts of religious concerns and travels in the U.S.A and in England, Scotland, Wales and Norway and on the Atlantic ocean and North Sea. The next account begins with page 1 written in red ink thru page 59 and continuing on page 60 thru 96 in blue ink handwriting: which is Ina R. Chamness' account of her and her mother, Ida R Chamness', and mother's daughter, Georgetta F. Chamness' (being also three years younger than Ina) trip to Norway. While Ina and Georgetta stayed with or near relatives in Norway, Ida traveled in Finland. Ida and Georgetta traveled in Germany and Ina stayed in Norway being cared for by Ida Maria Roiseland, her first cousin. Ida also want to Scotland to visit Jeane I Lluguid, a friend, Quaker, whom she had met before in Scotland, Canada and at Ida's home in U.S.A
