- 6 - "We have to be very carefull with a case like this." I laid thus in my deck chair til near midnight when they got me to bed and had the engineer turn on the forced air for me so I had good air; after this I got on deck early each morning, and spent the whole day there. The Deck Stewart carried all my meals to me, and sometimes he would wheel me around on deck showing me the beautiful moonlight and different other things of interest, and took lots of pains to move me from place to place in the sunshine or out of the wind, etc. Every one on board was exceedingly kind to me and we all, and they told us that I need not feel badly for them having to help me around, and wait on me so much (for I sometimes told them I did) adding, "we never know when some of us might become helpless, then we would want to be helped. "We are only glad to help you." We all felt so thankful and humble we had
