- 13 - the yard to hail the man, who brot in a large sack of coal on his back. The neighbors were very kind to us, offered to loan us anything we might need, and went to the meeting house and had the wheel chair brot for me to use free of charge as long as we staid there, which was six weeks. Georgetta would wheel me out nearly everyday between rains, which were frequent; and I sat in a chair in the glass plant room at the end of the house. One day she took me down the hill to the park; which I enjoyed. Edmund Hatcher would walk over three miles every day to see about us, and was very kind, helpful and encouraging. We enjoyed his visits much. We also had several good visits from others, including Edmund and Eliza Mason, William Land and Tom and Mary Artis. I took a photo of Mary and Ruth. Georgetta went by invitation and took supper with them, also at two other places. She had some nice rides with Edmund and Eliza in their little car, one long beautiful ride to the Licky Hills, while I staid alone, as mamma had gone to Scotland to visit Jane Duguid and Agnes. She had a very good visit and Jane had her accept five dollars, and embracing her said what strong love
