It was a sight to see them leave in the evenings. George Cadbury had also provided ample means of education for all workers of school age. And the whole village was conveniently and beautifully arranged. Most of the yards were fenced in by hedges. And numerous ornamental trees grew along the streets and in the yards. The bungalo in which we staid was one of six built in a row and two at each end, all facing one large yard which was kept in good order. A wide gravel walk was accessible from each bungalo which led to the street. These cosy little dwellings were intended for widows and maiden ladies only. Beautiful little flower gardens grew just accross the narrow path at the back side, which made looking out of the kitchen windows a pleasure. A Black bird much the size and shape of our robbin; would sit on the house tops and sing a lovely song of many notes, morning and evening; which we enjoyed. We also heard the
