- 33 - He said, "That is good." I slept in the little room by the meeting room which was at one end of the dwelling house. So they had a fire in the meeting room and opened the door to my little room to warm it up. I lived in these two rooms; and they brot my meals to me. It was quiet and nice and I said, "I did not know there was such a nice quiet place for me in Norway." The weather was cold and damp. It rained nearly every day, and nearly all day until after the eclipse of the sun: which took place in the latter part of Seventh-month. After that we had more sunshine, but very frequent rains. Mamma had a bad cold which got worse after coming to Roiseland. And a very sore throat developed: so that she stayed with me in the meeting room, not daring to go out. I enjoyed the new and cute sight of the girls going about their work with head shawls tied on their heads. These they wore all summer whilst at work out
