-38- So I made a large red paper rose and gave him. I also gave Bergine a pink one; and Ingeborg a white one. And each of Uncle's family one. Some people who saw the bouquet thot they were natural and went up to smell them. I felt quite concerned and rather worried about mamma and Georgetta, for they wrote me that mamma was poorly; and Georgetta had come down with a bad cold and very sore throat. At one meeting a young man spoke of his great appreciation of the many truths which mamma had spoken of; and was quite tender. Mamma had spoken plainly on the inner light as the true guide; and of the true spiritual worship; denouncing all outward manmade performances; singing, music, prepared ministry and prayers etc. Many were deeply affected and expressed their gratitude at the many different meetings which were held.
