-42- bench, saying something as we went. Afterwards exclaiming, "What was that?" Upon looking out the window there we saw sober, innocent faced, Ida Mary, standing with a mirror in her hand. Then, we were forced to laugh. But we planned a punishment for her which we failed to carry out. Next morning they took my bed over, and then came for me. Uncle, with a sad face, lifted me (who was crying) into the buggy. Aunt Inger came to see me off; but, soon turned away to hide her tears as she shook her head pretending to rake a little. Soon we were there, and for the first time I entered the old humble dwelling where my great grandparents and grandparents had lived. And where they all except grandma died. (The latter ended her life in the house where Uncle now lives; which also was mamma's childhood home. And where I saw the old wall clock; which was wound by weights: and still in good running order tho it had been handed down to the third generation. In order to get a quiet rest
