-46- couple, Kusta and Elza Loikkanen (This couple had been in England; and knew Edmund Hatcher and the Blakes; whom they thot a great deal of. And had spoken of the silent meeting held there as the best part of their whole visit in England.) It was refreshing to mamma to meet with them. And they feelingly expressed their gratitude for her visit and communications to them. Since our return home they write us that they have started up a Friend's meeting. And twelve persons attend. Hoping with the Lord's blessing the good work may go on. She gave mamma a large pretty blue table cover. We anxiously looked for letters from mamma; and much enjoyed reading them. In which she gave interesting accounts of her travels, etc. I had earnestly entreated her to be sure and get her milk and oranges regularly. She traveled along in bodily weakness; not knowing at times whether she would hold out or not: desiring with fervent prayers to the Lord that He would spare her life for her children's sake. And strength and ability were renewed from time to time in a remarkable degree: not -
