Here they enjoyed pleasant visits and some religious opportunities. Some of the boys rowed them accross the river; and they visited mamma's first cousin, Ingeri Helle; who lives at Helle. She gave mamma a present. They also went to Quinlog to see another cousin Ingrie; who lives in the house where grandpa's mother was born. Here they saw engraven in the wood above one door of the house by grandpa's grandfather the following lines: "When thou opens this door In thee then, this consideration make That Jesus Christ thy Saviour dear Is the right door to the way of life Call Ingvaldsen Quinlog 1806. And above the other door was engraven by grandpa's grandmother these lines: "I have the sure hope that my house is standing without danger When God the evil slays
