-67- On their way home the girls would stop to assist Georgetta over dangerous places which they could cross with apparently no difficulty. One evening Abraham caught a fish and presented it to me; but he was too bashfull to give it to me himself. So the next day I called to him and thanked him as they passed by on a load of hay. One First-day Uncle wanted me to come back to their house, and attend meeting and take dinner with them. So he hitched the pony to the buggy (not stopping for the rain) and lifted me in; then drove slowly and carefully accross the fields; and thru the shallow creek, right up to the door. He carried me into their living room, where we held meeting that day. After meeting I ate dinner with them. I sat by my dear Ida Mary, and we held hands under the table. Next I had my after-dinner nap in the meeting house on one of the benches which the girls prepared with pillows. And I quite enjoyed the day. We enjoyed a few visits from our kind friend, Sigbjorn, who brot us a borrowed lamp; for we had been using only candles. On a First-day we enjoyed a pleasant
