- 93 - To Dear Pauline! Now four long months have glided past Since a girl whom I love so dear Stood weeping by me with her eyes downcast For the parting moment had drawn so near 2. Yea many a time she gave me cheer As around the door her bright face came peeping But when she walked from me upon the pier O, then she left me sorely weeping 3. The memories of thy company And thy words so good and true Leave a sweet savor with me As in thot I view them thru. 4. There is naught in life so dear Amidst all our care and pain As when to the dear Lord we may draw near And there is where we find our gain 5. O, dear heart and cousin mine May we ever humbly loving be And together at the Master's table dine Tho between us lies the great sea.
