So you see in the fall of the year after the potatoes are dug and got in; and the grain threshed by flail beating the grain out in the, barn, building: then ground into meal; which each farmer does on his own farm by water power and stone grinder. They boil the potatoes, put them through a mill turned by hand; about two bushels at a time; which a woman is supposed to get all done in one day: get up at four o'clock
