Des Moines Iowa February 18th 1866 Friend Charley Yours of the 13th was receivd yesterday and was glad to hear from you again. I am getting along first rate now have not done anything since the 10th of Jan and am not going to do any thing more here. I have been thinking some of going Home do not know but that I shall go I was all ready to leave here last Wednesday but it was so cold and stormy that I did not venture out
