The selee [illegible] paid out 6 dollars to each polese at fair oficer which was 5 in this town makes 30 dolars for polese and 69 dolars and 33 cents for powder for the firing the taking of richmond which makes 99,33 in all and tha thought it wosent best to have so many so much for to handle [role?] this year will be 500 Do you like out West $85,00 Father gets as Blue some of the time and wants to sell so as to go West. He offered to sell to Mrs West when she got ready to buy as they want to buy a place. It make him blue to have [illegible] say anything against the West and because we don't want to go. He has said he could not raise enough to support us on this place this year it is awful lonesome here this Spring now Mary is gone and we don't have a great deal of company for Father has not been away but just twice this winter and the same in the evening. They went over to Elder Smyths last Thursday. I shall dislike to stay at home this summer if it is agoing to be so lonesome and there is no one that I can recite to Whittmans wants to have the school put off until fall and then have only a few weeks vacation Sam Burkes said he would bring his children up here to eat sugar He gave Mother some directions about hearing my physical lesson I shall dread to see him coming though he may not come until Wheeling and Mary is at home.
