Plymouth Mar 25th 1860 Brother Charlie We received your letter last Thursday Clara Clark came here last Monday night and staid un- til Tuesday night. Josie & Bell were here on Tuesday Father and Mother went to the Village Wednesday [M?] called on Esther Jewell she thinks she shall stay up awhile as Mrs Eastman has been sick Dr Burns is very sick and was not so well Friday I have not heard from him since They have Dr. Dana Dr. Kelly and Dr. Preston He has a fever I recieved a letter from Betsy Jane Pearsons yester- day also letters from Mary E Clark + + + + + + + + He has lent her to Mr Philbrick (up the right margin:) and twice to Daniel Flanders since last (then curving around upside on top:) November She has grown poor lately and has had a sore on the side of her face but it has got well now but I scolded for I could not help it and he said he should lend her just when he was a mind to At the rate he has [commenced?] she wont be worth fifty dollars next fall He dont ask hardly anything for the use of her so any one that wants a horse comes to him and he dont say no to any one (down the left margin:) He has not refused any one yet I wish you was here to look after her and say no to them I think it is [real] [mean?] (upside down on top margin:) Kate has been used every day this last week [He?] can say no to us but wont to any one else
