(inverted) Mr. Geoffrey [illegible] you may send money. Davenport Feb 14, 69 My Dear Sister_ You will think I am not very prompt about answering this time, well I forgot to tell you that I took cold New Years, and it kept getting worse and worse till I was about sick- If I had not been obliged to be up would have been abed but feel or begin to, like myself though I can't hear distinctly and taste and smell. I haven't had any for sometime, have had a terrible cough haven't been able to go out only a few pleasant days and it seems then as if I took cold so upon the whole have had a hard time and lost some flesh;
