I suppose you know we have had a visit from Mr Anable & wife a very good visit we had the week before he returned Hiram went to Plymoth had a splendid time was very much pleased with his visit Your folks did every thing in their power to make his visit a nice one when he came home and told what a nice time he had Mr Annable was vexed to think he had, or rather could not go Hiram did not ask him from the fact that Sister said she did not feel she could furnish meane to you to [illegible] it was a pretty expensive going to Sister she did not let him know of the ten dols you gave her
