Oskaloosa June 12th, 1875 To the Board of Education Montezuma, Iowa Gentlemen, Having been informed that there is a vacancy in the schools of Montezuma I would like to apply for a position as a teacher there. I will enclose recommendations and if you wish for further information you can refer to Mr. Cutting the former Supt. of Poweshiek County as I taught several terms in that county when he was Supt. also while Prof. L. H. Parker was in office. Please reply as soon as convenient as I have another position in view should my application here not be favorably considered. Very Respectfully, Helen V. Jordan
