Mary told the girls, that she thought I had a letter from you tonight. I got two & she thought one was from you but as it happened it wasn't. Now if there is any mistake about this tell me. If there is not, tell me the reason of your treating me so, & fully if you have any. So stop and think of it, it seems as though it must be a dream. Oh Charlie, Charlie would to God it was. I care very little about Mary's reading some of my letters if I had known that she was going to, but not a single letter of mine am I willing that any eye should see but you & myself & God, & I want you to write me very soon & tell me all you have to say about it & I hope that I can remain as I ever have been your friend & sister Lisa
