Got impatient and sent out Scouts to see where they ware and made the discovery that instead of preparing to march on us they ware retreating and ware now all gone which was mysterious movements. Late in evening heard that they had made a sad mistake the night before and had a sever battle amongst themselves somewhere in the Mountains between here and Kimble's camp which no doubt frustrated their plans and caused their sudden retreat.
