About 3 P.M. the wind [that?] which had already blown from the South suddenly changed to North and was a perfect hurricane and [imediately?] the rain abatingas we as hoped it would it once appeared to rain [illeg] [illeg] But now commenced the suffering indeed as we ware all perfectly [drenched?] but hd managed [illeg] [illeg] to keep ourselves from freezing by [illeg] [illeg] the fire but now the rain
