I sent $80 00/100 home to the family Nov 8th Weather clear and pleasant it being Sunday there was nothing to do. Attended divine service in the afternoon, good discourse by Chaplain Stevens. Yesterday our Regiment all got new guns of the Saxon Rifle pattern which do not appear to answer the purpose verry well as the hammers of the locks nearly all break off consequently they will be returned [Dec?] 9th Weather warm and clear I went to the City and had a photograph taken in full uniform and sent one to Sally and one to E.C. McKee her father. The Regiment
