The Regiment is in considerable of a turmoil and considerably demoralized as they are nearly all sick and what are not really sick are playing sick and are encouraged to do so by the officers as they hope to get the Regiment reported as unfit for duty and by that means getting a general furlough for the whole regiment so that the boys can go home and recruit their health.
