River. By 5 1/2 Oclock the whole Brigade had crossed and we marched through the city and 2 miles South of it and encamped in a beautiful Grove of Sugar trees. The City of Nashville is not a very prepossessing place at first Sight as the Streets are very Narrow which gives it the appearance of being too much huddled together. There are many fine building. And most imposing is the State Capitol which is a beautiful structure and stands
