Oct 13, 1863 Legislature having passed a law allowing us the privilege of voting, we today held our election of State and Court officers. Vallandigham rec'd "nary a" vote, A cold rainy day. Although we expected a regular shelling, we missed it and polled 20 votes. 14th,, Another cold rainy day. Wood very scarce so scarce that the rebs talk of freezing us out Jeff reported in their camp making speeches. Wonder
