23th The weather getting colder, Left our furloughs in the morning at the office and our transportation was brought us at noon when we were hauled across to Jeffersonville and took the cars at 3 P.M. We reached Seymour Ind at 5 PM (49 mls) changed onto the Ohio & Miss R R and arrived at Cin about 9, then without a moments rest changed cars for Columbus (130 mls) which place we reached at 3,30 A.M. 24th Kept on and arrived at Newark at daylight
