Mrs. Seaton placed on retired list. Mrs. S. W. Stookey elected in her place. Mrs. P. M. Smith elected to fill vacancy but probably did not accept. Study - Russian history and miscellaneous topics.

Mrs. J. J. Ives takes the place of Mrs. Smith. Program English history, parliamentry law, spelling tests, a paper on the order of King's Daughters - piano selections.
1898- 1899
The names of Mrs. J. S. Mitchell and Mrs. D. E. Voris transfered from Honorary list to In Memoriam. Mrs. J. G. Van Ness placed on Honorary list and Mrs. F. A. Knowlton elected to fill her place. Program Continuation of English and Early American history. Special topics for current events for the year assigned to each member. Club story written; each member writing one or more chapters and reading it before the club. Special articles and musical numbers.
