14 Mar - 26 - 1900. The Cary Club met at the home of Mrs. McKean with thirteen members and two visitors present Pres. presiding. Roll call responded to by humorous quotations. Minutes of last meeting read and approved. Report of Critic from previous meeting. Mrs. Stookee appointed Critic Flowerel committee reported flowers purchased for Mrs. Rathburn. Motion made and carried that flowerel committee be authorized to use there own judgement in purchase of flowers. Motion made and carried that the committee on the Club story be retained until final report of cost of printing the story be ascertained Interesting current events were given. Mrs. Knowlton gave a review of "Samantha at The Worlds Fair." Mrs. Mudge read a paper upon "Egyptian Sculpturing." Mrs. Ives read a chapter from "Egyptian Princess." Mrs. Voris appointed to read from "Egyptian Princess" at the next meeting. The Club were requested by the Pres. to remain after adjournment to meet with Mrs. Davis in two weeks. The hostess served dainty refreshments and a very enjoyable time was spent by those present. Mrs. Ives Pres. Mrs. Knowlton Sec. Apr - 9 - 1900.
