May 21 1900 The Cary Club met at the house of Mrs. *(Stovkey?)* with seven members and one visitor present. Pres.* presiding. Roll call responded to by Margaret *(illegible)*. Minutes of last meeting read and affirmed. Pres. read a letter from Mary Durham. A vote was then taken upon the names, proposal for membership resulting in the election of Mrs. Wilson, Hutchinson and Hildebrand. The Pres. appointed the *(illegible)* committee for 1901-1902 as follows. *(illegible)* Dobson and Alexander. Mrs. Haddock read a poem from Margaret Gangster. Current events were then given. Mrs. Stovkey conducted a lession in Englich. Club adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mrs. Ives. *(illegible)* refreshments were served and a very plesant social time followed. Pres. again call the club to order and apponted Mrs. Hindenau and Dobson delegates to the Library meeting. Ida Eves Pres. Ida P. *(illegible)* Sec. June 4 1900 The last regular meeting of the Cary Club for the year was held at the house of Mrs. Ives with fifteen members and four visitors. present.Pres. presiding. Roll call responded to by quotations from Paul Dunbar. Minutes of last meeting read and approved. Sec. read leter of acceptance from Mrs. Wilson and rejection from Mrs. Hildebrand, as this still left a vacancy in the Club motion motion was made and carried that there be a called meeting in two weeks to vote upon the following names Mrs. Martin, Gibson and Kline. Current events were then given. Each member present told the Club why she joined a library society. Mrs. Taylor
