18 read a paper "Our Club work interfere, with home duties." The Club adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mrs. Davis. The Hostess served lovely refreshments and a very pleasant social hour followed. This meeting of the club being one of the most pleasant of the year. Ida Ives Pres. Ida P. Knowlton Sec. June-11-1900 A called meeting of the Cary Club met at the home of Mrs Davis, with eleven members present. President presiding. Roll call responded to by miscellaneous quotations Minutes of previous meeting read and approved. The club then proceeded to vote on the names proposed for membership, resulting in the election of Mrs Gibson. Mrs Hurlbert read a back paper on Mary Livermore. Motion made and carried that a vote of Thanks be extended to the retiring President and Secretary for faithful service during the past year. The Club adjourned to meet in September.
