  Monday Dec. 9th 1901. The Cary Club met

at the home of Mrs. Voris 17 members present.
Called to order by Vice Pres. Mrs. Mudge appointed
critic. Roll call responded to by quotations from
Dante. Minutes of previous meeting read and 
approved. Mrs. Humphrey's illness preventing her
presence her paper was omitted and more
time given to Current Events.

After an intermission of 5 minutes Mrs. Gibson

favored us with an account of the Vatican and
Catacombs followed by short business meeting,
our Pres. was instructed to pay the club dues
($1.00) to the Federation. Critics report. Adjourned
to meet with Mrs Dobson Monday Dec 9th.

  Monday Dec. 23rd the Cary Sisters met

with Mrs. Dobson. meeting called to order by 
Vice Pres. Seven members responded to Roll call
with quotations on Christmas. Minutes read
and accepted. Mrs. Taylor appointed critic.

 Miss Katherine Dobson kindly gave us two very

pleasing musical selections followed by Christmas
story read by Mrs. Hutchinson. the other
members on program not being present the
time was [illegible] by current events and social
conversation. Adjourned to meet with Mrs. Maddock
in two weeks, after which the hostess served
refreshments and a very pleasant social hour
was spent.
