41 on program committee made vacant by the death of Mrs. Humphrey. Current events and Critics report. Adjourned to meet with Mrs. Knowlton Monday Feb. 3rd" Mrs. Alexander Pres. Mrs. Hutchinson Sec. Monday Feb. 3rd 1902 The Cary Club met at the home of Mrs. Knowlton. 16 members and 3 guests present. Quotations from French Authors were given in response to roll call. Mrs. Stookey appointed critic. A paper on Louis XIV was read by Mrs. Manson and one on Causes of the French Revolution by Mrs. Knowlton. followed by five minutes intermission. Called to order minutes of previous meeting read and approved. Sec. also read a letter from Mrs. Hurlburt thanking the Club for flowers sent to her and also letter from Mr. Humphrey expressing appreciation for the sympathe of the Club during his berievement. Committee on the Memorial folders reported they expected to have them ready for distribution by next regular meeting. Current events were then given. Mrs Huffacher of Marshal town was present and gave an interesting talk on the Club work in that City. The critic then gave a new and decidedly improved form of criticism on the afternoon work. Adjourned to meet with Mrs. Davis Feb. 17th The hostess then served light refreshments and a very pleasant social time followed . Mrs. Alexander Pres. Mrs. Hutchinson Sec.
