Marion In April 18th 1904 The Club met with Mrs. Evans, the president called the meeting to order roll call and eleven members responded. Minutes of the last meeting read and approved. Mrs. Brown, Mrs. Gibson and Mrs. Ives each read interesting papers. Current events were then taken up. On account of two of our members resigning, names were proposed for new members. Mrs. Phelps, Mrs. M. Bell, Mrs, Pyle and Mrs. Susmilch. Club tea was then discussed, but no definite plans were made. Club adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mrs. McKean. Mrs. Davis President Mrs. Griffiths Secretary Marion Ia May 2d 1904 The club met with Mrs. Hutchinson called to order by the President, Eighteen members present answered to roll call. With quotations. Minutes of the last meeting read and approved. Current events being the principle part of the work for the day were taken up. Mrs. Brown not being prepared with her paper, the voting on names previously proposed was next in order, resulting in the election of Mrs. Phelps and Mrs Pyle. The club tea was then discussed and disposed of by Mrs Rasthbun offering her home for the entertainment of the club providing it was [illegible] a club tea. A motion for the [illegible] was moved and carried. Upon motion by Mrs. Voris the officers [illegible] made a commitee on refreshments. Club adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mrs. Rasthbun.
