The Cary Club met Monday March 5th with Mrs Hadwin, with seven members present, the president presiding. Quotations were given and minutes of last meeting read and approved. Mrs Hadwin then favored the ladies with two beautiful songs. Her accompaniments were played by Miss Nelle Mitchell. This was "College" day. The regular program was not given owing to the absence of Mrs. Stookey and Mrs. Bailey who were to take part. Mrs Hadwin read an article on "French Educational System" and Mrs Alexander on "How Man May Be Bettered" a detail of the great welfare being done by various employers to better the condition of the working classes. Both articles were very much enjoyed. Current events were discussed. A short business session was held and the date of "guest day" March 19th was changed to April 2nd to be given at next meeting.
