Monday Oct 8th 1906 The first meeting of the Cary Club for 1906-07 met with Mrs. Brown. Sisters Brown, Hadwin, Yoris, Griffiths, Parmenter, E.N.McKean, Cook, Ives, Davis, Pyle, Dobson, Gibson & Hutchinson. Bring present 13. Pres. called meeting to order. Roll call was responded to by items of English history. Sec. report for last meeting read and approved. Ret. Pres. then relinquished the gavel to her successor with a fitting speech to which Mrs. Hadwin, the new Pres. responded in a very pleasing manner. Business was then taken up. A report of the expenses for the Club tea, held at Mrs. Hadwin's June 11 - 1986, was given by Mrs. Hutchinson, chairman of committee, which was accepted. An invitation for the Cary Club to join the State Federation was read. A notion made and carried not to accept. Mrs. Yoris then conducted us on a short trip in Scotland followed by a short Irish trip with Mrs. Hadwin. Adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mrs. Phelps. Hostess then invited us to remain and served refreshments with the assistance of her daughter Mrs. Christey. Mrs. Hadwin Pres. Mrs. Hutchinson Sec.
