Marion Iowa Monday Jan 14th 1907 Owing to the illness of Mrs. Alexander the Carly Club held its Annual Guest day at the home of Mrs. Voris in honor of our three new members, Mrs. Troy Mrs. Sargent and Mrs. Alderman each member was allowed two guests. The afternoon was very pleasantly spent in social way. Piano solos by Miss Voris. Vocal solos by Mrs. Hadwin and recitations by Miss Irma Schumack added much to the pleasure of the afternoon, at five oclock a two course supper was served by the committee assisted by Mrs Hadwin Miss [Beso?] Voris & Miss [T?] Brown sixty six plates being served. Mrs. Hadwin Mrs. Hutchinson Pres. Sec. Marion Iowa Monday Jan 28th 07 Cary Club met at home of Mrs Pyle. President presiding. roll call responded too by current event from thirteen members. Sisters Brown, Bailey, Cook, Davis, Gniffelk, Hadwin, McKean, Pyle, Phelps, Voris, Troy, Sargent, & Hutchinson. Minutes read & accepted, chairman of entertainment Com. gave report of expence [sic] of guest day, report accepted and order to draw on the Tres. for same granted. Report of Federation Com. requesting $1.50 for expenses of Miss Lyman lecture to [?] Jan 7th also $1.60 to pay for binding of magazine for Library. requests granted by Club and motion made and carried that an order be drawn on Tres for same. Mrs. Rathbun not being present, Mrs Hadwin gave a very interesting talk on Milan and Italian Lakes, Florence and her great
