Marion Iowa Nov. 18th 1907. The Cary Club met at the home of Mrs. M. Voris with six members present. Meeting called to order, Vice President presiding. Miscellaneous quotations were given in response to roll call. Mrs. Brown appointed critic. Minutes of the previous meeting read and approved. The maniers[?] of Mrs. Foster and Mrs. Giffen were then proposed to fill the vacancy made by the removal of Mrs. Troy. It was asked that the following compliment be made be included in the minutes. Some [?] girls were desirous of forming a literary society, and Miss King, Professor in the Church of History, advised them to [?] the Cary Club By-Laws if they could as she through them the best of any club she knew. An interesting magazine article was read by Mrs. Brook[?] and the Jamestown expedition[?] was the subject of a paper by Mrs. C.A. Pyle. Current events were then given, and the club adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mr.s M. Griffiths. Mrs. Hutchinson Pres. Pro. Tem. Mrs. Pyle. Secy.
