127 Mrs Hadwens moving away. Miss Vaughn not being able to give her lecture, on account of her fathers illness, we made arrangements to have the lecture in two weeks, and have it at the Library, each member to invite four guests. Committee for music and flowers Mrs. Voris, and Mrs. Hutchinson. "Biography of Whittier" was read by Mrs. Ives, and Prisoner for Debt" by Mrs Hutchinson, Current events were then given, and the club adjourned to meet in two weeks at the Public Library. Whittier at the public library at which were present fifteen members and 50 invited guests. who listened to a very interesting lecture on the life and works of Whittier given by Miss Gura Vaughn, followed by a short talk by Miss Adeliza Daniels who recently visited the Whittier home. The musical program and Reading was given [to follows?] Piano duet - Miss Bess Voris- Miss Mabel Alexander Vocal solo - Miss Hazel Oxley Reading - Mrs. W. S. Winter Vocal solo - Miss Clara Louise Gibson. Whittier's poem Barbara Fritchie. No meeting was held Dec 30 " on account of the Holiday's.
