Marion Iowa May 18th 1908 The Cary Club met at the home of Mrs. Dobson with nine members present. Meeting called to order by the President. Miscellaneous quotations were given in response to roll call. Minutes of the previous meeting read and approved. It was moved and carried that we have just the members of our Club Tea. Tea to be at Mrs. Bailey's. Committee on refreshments were Mrs. Dobson, Mrs. Winter and Mrs. Pyle. Names were membership were then proposed. On account of bad weather the May 4th meeting was postponed until the next regular meeting, at which time the Constitution and By-Laws were read, and the following affairs elected. President Mrs. Griffiths, Vice President Mrs. Sargeant, Secy. Mrs. Brown, Treasurer Mrs. Dobson. Program Committee appointed for the following year as follows Mrs. Bailey, Mrs. Cook, Mrs. [?]. Current events were given and club adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mrs. Bailey. Mrs. Alexander Pres. Mrs. Pyle Secy.
