Marion Iowa Dec 28th 1908 The Cary Sisters met at the home of Mrs. E.W. McKean. Eleven members present. Called to order by the Pres. Secy. being unavoidably absent Mrs. Hutchinson was requested to act Pro Tem. Roll Call. minutes was read and corrected. A communication from Mrs. Van Ness was read. Thanking the ladies for their kindness but declining reentering the Club because they were so unsettled as to where they will be located. Mrs. Hutchinson the "Geographical [?]" having the ladies chose a side and making quite a messy time. Mrs. McKean gave an interesting paper on "Indian Basketing" and read a nice article on Totem Poles. Current events were then given. Adjourned to met with Mrs. Ives. Mrs. Hutchinson Sec'y. Pro. Tem.
