Marion Ia Oct 17th 1910 The Cary Club met at the home of Mrs Rathbun. Quotations were given in response to roll call. Mrs Griffiths gave an interesting lesson on English history. "The Coming of the Normans. Mrs Hutchinson followed with "English Antiquities". Mrs Alexander being absent, Mrs Cross acted as critic in her place Current events were then given. Mrs Mentzers read a letter from Mrs Parmenter as her current event. Credits were then taken Club adjourned to met with Mrs E W McKean. Club adjourned to attend lecture on [Gas?]. There were 16 members present, and one visitor, Mrs Treadwell of Ill next meeting of Club to be held at the home of Mrs Winters Nov 14 Mrs Susie Brown Sec'y
