The first meeting of the Cary Club for the new year was held at the home of Mrs. Mentzer September 16 1912 Fifteen members present. Roll call responded to by vacation echoes. Minutes of meeting of May 15 read and approved. Treasurer report read and accepted after which the club listened to addressed from Mrs. Mentzer our retiring president and Mrs. Blinks our new president. Current events were discussed and arrangements made for a club picnic to be held at the home of Mrs. Blinks in two weeks club then adjourned Mrs. Blinks President Mrs. McKean Sec'y Marion Iowa Sept 30 1912 The Cary Club met at the beautiful country home of our President. Sixteen members enjoyed the bountiful spread at one o'clock, after which the President called the club to order. Roll call was responded to with conundrums. Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved. The secretary was authorized to extend to Mrs. V.G. Sumack an invitation to become an active member of the club, names were also proposed. Mrs. Rathbun then gave the club a pleasing and interesting talk in which she thanked the members for the spoon sent her on the occasion of her fiftieth wedding anniversary. The president announced the fall rummage sale to be held at the library beginning Oct 5
