Mrs. Blinks Mrs E W McKean President Secretary ----------- Marion Iowa May 12th 1913 The annual meeting of the Cary Club was held at the home of Mrs. J. C. Davis Monday afternoon the President presiding. Eleven members responded to roll call with household hints. Minutes of previous meeting read and approved A motion was made to draw on treasurer for eighty five cents to defray expense of finding one volume of magazines for the Public Library. Club was asked by the federation to furnish three cakes for the luncheon to be served the delegates to the librarians conven tion which met in Marion Thursday May 15. The election of officers was next in order which resulted in the election of Mrs. J. J. Ives President for the ensuing year. Mrs. C A. Pyle Vice President, Mrs. A. G. Waffle Secretary Mrs J. C Davis Treasurer. Mrs Blinks then read to us extracts from letters from her son written on board the Battle Ship Maryland, describing the countries visited, also a vivid description of the
