Marion Iowa ??. 20-1913. Cary Club met with Mrs Elsen and in the absence of the President/the Vice Pres. Mrs Pyle officiated. Eight members responded to roll call with quotations. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. After a general discussion of the request of the City Federation of Clubs that each club take its turn at keeping he Marion City Lib. open for reading purposes each Sunday, from 2 to 5 p.m. it was decided to allow the matter to rest till the next meeting hoping the weather would be better and thus more members present. Mrs Blink's work for the afternoon was given by Mrs Bishop and Mrs McKean's was read by the Sec. Mrs Alexander gave a talk on the People of Alaska, in which the ladies present were greatly interested. After giving of current Events the Club adjourned to meet with Mrs Phelps in two weeks.
