After current events the club adjourned Our hostess assisted by the Misses Josephine Naso, Grace Cross and Julia Shumack served dainty refreshments after which we were entertained with two vocal duets sung by Misses Grace Cross and Josephine Naso. Mrs. Shumack. Pres. Mrs. Bishop Sec.y. Marion Iowa Jan. 11, 1915 Cary Club met at the home with Mrs. Pyle. Mrs. Shumack the Pres. in the chair. Twelve members and one visitor responded to roll call with new Years quotations. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Mrs. Mentzer gave a report of the called meeting of the city Federation after which the lesson was given Per. calender Mrs. McKean read a very interesting sketch of the life of Hamlin Garland, and Mrs. Alexander reviewed the book "Mani Traveled Roads. which was very interested and entertaining Club adjourned to meet with Mrs. Alexander Jan. 25: Mrs. Shumack Pres.
