258 Marion Iowa. May 3" 1915. Cary club met with Mrs. Bailey. There were nine members present who responded to Roll call with quotations from Iowa Authors. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. This being the Annual meeting we now proceeded with the election of officers which resulted as follows. For President, Mrs. Bailey. Vice President, - Mrs. Pyle. Sec'y Mrs. Alexander Treasurer Mrs. The program was then taken up on account of the sever illness of Mrs. Cook. "A sketch of the life of Octave Thanet" was omitted. Mrs. Bishop reviewed the book "By Inheritance" after the club adjourned the hostess served delicious refreshments. Mrs. Shumack, Pres. Mrs. Bishop Sec'y. Marion Iowa. May 17", 1915. Cary club met at the house of Mrs. Bishop. Twelve members responded to Roll call with a Historical sketch, Mrs. Lichtenwalter, Mrs. Clogston and Mrs. Bromwell were guests of the club. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. A communication from the children of Mrs. Cook. thanking the clue for flowers sent to her during her illness, and to them at the time of her death.
